General Life Skills Development Course
At MW Aspirations, our General Life Skills Development Course equips young people with the essential tools they need to lead independent, confident, and successful lives. This comprehensive programme focuses on developing practical competencies that are vital for adulthood, including communication, problem-solving, decision-making, budgeting, and time management. Participants learn how to plan daily routines, manage personal hygiene, and take responsibility for household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking nutritious meals. A key component of the course is teaching young people how to confidently navigate public transportation. Through guided, real-world practice, students learn how to read timetables, understand routes, purchase tickets, and adapt to unexpected changes in travel plans. This fosters self-reliance, spatial awareness, and critical thinking, especially for those preparing to transition into independent living. The course also integrates digital literacy, encouraging safe and effective use of mobile apps and online services. Role-playing, community visits, and team-based tasks help students build social skills, resilience, and emotional intelligence. Each session is designed to be interactive and engaging, promoting self-esteem and a can-do mindset that empowers young people to face everyday challenges with confidence and responsibility.
